  • Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Services

    Hi all,
I am trying to find a definitive answer for this question. We have purchased 40 Citrix licenses, and have a Citrix server installed on two different servers, each with 20 licenses. All of the sudden, on one of the servers, we are getting a message that since the 120 days have lapsed since install, and a Terminal Services licensing server has not been installed, TS is going to stop working.

My question, we purchased Citrix, and Terminal Services is required for the installation of Citrix, but are we also supposed to purchase Terminal Services licenses as well?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need to acquire TS CAL's. The Citrix CAL's do not supplant nor are they a replacement for the underlying TS CAL's.

You will also need CALs for Windows Server, bummer i know but it's true.

Yes, unfortunatelly, you need to buy TS CAL's and Citrix CAL's. That is not cheap solution ))

Hehe, Moggy's signature is very catching here

Citrix isn't a cheap solluction, but none of these SBC products are, as you always have to aquire TS licenses accordingly.
