  • Disable Flash Terminal Server 2008

    I want to disable flash on a win 2008 TS .
    in ts2003 it was very easy.i added a key to registry :

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}]
    "Compatibility Flags"="400"

    but in Ts 2008 it is not effecting..
    do u have any idea how to do it???

    You can use a custom admx and/or software restrictions policy etc.

      You can go the browser and tell the browser to disable the Adobe flash add-on.

      IT should be under tools, manage add-ons.
      MCITP:SA, MCSA 2003, MCP, CCNA, A+, Net+, Security+

        thanks everyone
        i found the to way do it by gpo but when i browse to a web site with flash, the UAC pops up "windows need your permission to continue..." and look for privilage to install the flash.
        how do i prevent the uac to pop up???

            UAC is a very important security feature, especially when you talk about a Terminal Server. Would you want that a software installed by one user to make all others not able to work?

              Would you grant TS users the necessary rights to install software?
