  • TS 2k3 and Remote Desktop Sharing

    All,

I've been racking my brain trying to research this and I've been unable to find any resolution so I thought I'd join here and make my first post one that I believe is not solvable in the environment that I have working withing.

    But, here it goes anyway.

    Server 2003 SP 2 EE
    TS installed
    MS Communicator installed

App Sharing and Desktop Sharing are disabled in Communicator and I believe that this is an inherent flaw/restriction/"enhancement" within TS capability. But what I hoping for here is either confirmation from anyone that knows for sure or a 3rd party solution as a work around.

We have users around the globe (usually *nix users connected via RDesktop) that connect to our TS and at times need to share designs with other users while both are connected to the same box. MS Communicator works great for IMs and even the Whiteboard function appears to work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Within NetMeeting, both App Sharing and Desktop Sharing are disabled. When attempting a data sharing session in Communicator (which calls NetMeeting for this functionality), the user is able to send the invite, the receiver is able to accept but neither are able to share.
