  • Upgrading TS Hardware and Need to Move the TS CALS

Decomissioning an old Win2K3 Terminal Server and replacing it with a shiney new one also running Win2K3.

Is there an easy way to export the TS CALS from the old server and import them into the new one? I have Googled KB291795 is the closest I have come to an answer.

Apart from Remote Desktop, I have not used TS before so I want to make sure I don't FUBAR it.

That is not good news as I don't drink coffee. I was hoping to make this a weekend move but if MS work standard hours then I am SOOL.

      Thanks Yuval.

You can use Acronis with universal restore to move the OS to the new server...

Re: Upgrading TS Hardware and Need to Move the TS CALS

Nice tip, thanks, but when we started we discovered some very hinky things about the way TS had been setup to start with. Still, we have 119 days to sort it all out. I am sure I shall be back with more questions.

          Appreciate the input Yuval, Thanks!
