  • TS 2003 printing to a network printer....

OK - I have installed 7 different printers on our 2003 TS server - all of these printers are local to the PC that logs in.
I have 1 user that prints to a network printer (HP2015) - I installed the driver on the TS Server - but she still can't see the printer when she logs into the TS Server.
She is setup on her machine to print directly to the printers IP: 192.168.1.5.

    what am I missing

Terminal Services doesn't redirect network printers by default.
Only local client printers are redirected to terminal server
    session.

You can change this behavior by editing the registry on the clients.

    1. Click Start, Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
    2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server
    Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR
    3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
    4. Type FilterQueueType, and then press ENTER.
    5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
    6. Type FFFFFFFF, and then click OK.

Take a look at these utils also: http://ts.veranoest.net/ts_printing.htm#printutils .
