  • access 2007 and runtime components in TS environment

    Hello,

We want to buy few (max 5) licenses for access 2007 in terminal services environment. Is it possible to purchase just access 2007 outside office box in enterprise version and then install it on windows 2003 TS?
For the rest of the users we will use access runtime files for opening database, because most of our users just need to view data from the database. Is this scenario possible.

You can download and install Access runtime:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

However, using access software for multi users, create a perfomance issue most of the times.
Consider to use SQL instead of Access.

Yes I know access can create a perfomance issue, we are using for that multiple CPU with multiple cores server, and one user can take 25% of one virtual CPU at max in one time.

My question was primary is it possible to licenses only access 2007 outside whole office box, because we will not use word, excel, outlook, powerpoint and other applications included in office and normally is that you don't want to pay for something you will not use.

I show Access licenses in a few customers so you can buy it.
The access runtime is free as I know.
