  • TS Licensing Problems

    Hi There
Wondered if someone can point in the right direction or had similar problem.....we are having issues where licenses are not being issued after temporary ones expire even though license manager shows we have spare licenses. The license server is a Windows 2003 memebr server installed several months ago and on the same subnet/site. It is a Windows 2000 domain. The licencse server used to be a Win 2000 DC until moved to this 2003 server. Our licence mode is per device. We use Citrix and notice events 1004 ( cannot obtain license ). Any help/advice would be welcome.

    Thanks

Did you upgrade the schema to support Windows 2003?!

      Thanks for replying,

Seems that there may be more devices on the network than licenses available, although still not sure why its showing 80+ spare.

Temporary CAL can only be deployed once, o a physical machine. Once the license expires a valid Device cal should be available on the license server. If no device CAL's are available, the device is disallowed access.
