    Re: terminal server 2003

    I had that same problem myself.
    The problem happens (as much as I understood) when users that connect to the TS, have different language settings (multiple languages, different keyboards settings, voice and handwriting recognition, etc') on their machines...

    Then I came accross this vbscript:
    Code:
    Option Explicit
    Dim oWSHShell, sMsg, sRegPath, oProcess

    sMsg = "To work correctly, the script will close" & vbNewLine & _
    		"and restart the Windows Explorer shell." & vbNewLine & _
    		"This will not harm your system." & vbNewLine & vbNewLine & _
    		"Click 'Yes' to continue"

    If MsgBox(sMsg, 48+4, WScript.ScriptName) = 6 Then

    	On Error Resume Next
    	Set oWSHShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

    	oWSHShell.RegDelete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects2\"
    	oWSHShell.RegDelete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StreamMRU\"
    	oWSHShell.RegDelete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop\"
    	oWSHShell.RegDelete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\{32683183-48a0-441b-a342-7c2a440a9478}\BarSize"

    	sRegPath = "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoBandCustomize", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoMovingBands", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoCloseDragDropBands", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoSetTaskbar", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoToolbarsOnTaskbar", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoSaveSettings",0,"REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoToolbarsOnTaskbar", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoSetTaskbar",0,"REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoActiveDesktop",0,"REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "ClassicShell",0,"REG_DWORD"

    	sRegPath = "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy Objects\LocalUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath & "NoCloseDragDropBands", 0, "REG_DWORD"
    	oWSHShell.RegDelete sRegPath & "NoMovingBands"

    	sRegPath = "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath, "explorer.exe", "REG_SZ"

    	sRegPath = "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\{32683183-48a0-441b-a342-7c2a440a9478}\"
    	oWSHShell.RegDelete sRegPath & "BarSize"
    	oWSHShell.RegWrite sRegPath, "Media Band", "REG_SZ"

    	On Error Goto 0

    	For Each oProcess in GetObject("winmgmts:").ExecQuery("select * from Win32_Process where name='explorer.exe'")
    		oProcess.terminate(0)
    	Next

    	Set oProcess = Nothing
    	Set oWSHShell = Nothing

    	MsgBox "Finished.", 4096+64, WScript.ScriptName
    Else
    	MsgBox "No changes were made to your system.", 4096+64, WScript.ScriptName
    End If
    (copy-paste this code into a text file, and set the extension to VBS. ex: "FixLangBarBug.vbs")

    Good luck!
