  • reset the license manager

    hi ...
i have Windows 2000 Terminal server that run in Application mode.
    with 15 licenses

5 computers that do not need access logged on and have captured 5 of the 15 licenses that i have!

How do I permanently remove these licenses from the License Manager & enable thouse other 5 computer to associate with the new freed up licenses?
(without Re-add the license, cose the sys admin didnt left any trace for them.)

i allsow followed Q187629 - Termialn Server Licensing
but didnt find any file that called - hydra.mdb ??

    help please
    thanks!

        Re: reset the license manager

It looks like you'll need to contact Microsoft.
        License Recovery
Issued TS CALs lost from the client device due to actions such as hard disk reformatting, client device swap-out, or un-issued licenses lost due to a license server crash will need to be re-issued by the Clearinghouse. To get the licenses re-issued, it is necessary to use the phone connection method to contact a Microsoft Terminal Services Licensing customer service representative (the connection method, along with other information, can be changed by choosing the Properties item from the View menu of the Terminal Services Licensing tool). The customer service representative will require the License Server ID to re-issue the licenses.
