I wrote on kb on How to improve Windows Terminal Services Performance.
Please provide me comments so I can update the KB with all the details that
can help sys admin to get better from Terminal Server.

I guess MS doesn't proof read the KB articles before posting them? I'm not trying to be overly critical of you, I know English isn't your primary language, but there are a lot of grammar issues, misused and misspelled words. For goodness sakes... MS should proof read these things.

      Yuval,

I am a pretty good writer and an outstanding editor, so if you would like help sometime from somebody to proof your article and help smooth it out before you submit it, I'd be glad to help as much as I can.

Re: How to improve Windows Terminal Services Performance

may I know why is there a need to have 2 CPU with dual/quad core ? I thought Quad Core CPU is not even out yet?

I think it's easier if you can justify what you posted with solid proof. with pictures of course, and comparison between various combination of memory amount and CPU speed.

Memory has different clock timing and speed specifications, like wise for CPU. I can have a Xeon duo 2 core but running at just 1.83Ghz, vs a dual core 3Ghz. The non-Xeon CPU could preform better.

Using multiple processor, provide usually much richer performance from one high CPU.
The CPU/Memory price isnít so high today so it worth to buy them, even you donít
use it for the current time.
AMD usually give more performance (for now) compare to Xeon, so I didnít provided
any information on the recommended CPU vendor.
The information in this KB was brought from real life work Ė and most of the customers that
Didnít use this tips had to buy extra hardware after ~a year or/and get use for low performance.

well, i just feel that the hardware specs is just too general and not specific.

Instead of saying more CPU is good, you shall say why more CPU is good, how to do proper combination of hardware is good, and the exact comparison to see the improvement from dual core vs quad core, SATA2 vs SCSI etc.

If I were to use a simple statement to describe what you have posted, it gotta be :
"just get the latest fastest equipment on the earth will do"

you shall point out what is the bottleneck, and by improving it, you get to see great performance hop!

It is a lot cheaper and easier to buy a "just enough specs" PC instead of an expensive server that make you stuck with it for years. 1 year down the road, by paying a little cash, I can get any PC base to beat your high end server anytime. I would prefer to change PC every 2-3 years with lower cost, instead of using the same piece of slow server for 5 years and longer.
