  • DPM 2012 & Hyper-V

    Hi
    I have a DPM 2012 SP1 server protecting VM's placed on 3 Hyper-V servers.
I have installed the agent on the Hyper-V host and use is to protect my VM's.
What will happen if I move my VM from one Hyper-V hot to another using the migration option on my VMM 2012 SP1 Server.
Will the protection setting move with the VM or do I need to update it manually?

    Thanks

    Itamar

    Re: DPM 2012 & Hyper-V

Are the hosts clustered? If so, DPM 2012 SP1 is now cluster aware and should be able to handle the change. If the hosts are not clustered then I think you'll have to re-add it to the protection group on the new host.
