  • WSUS settings on Client Machine

If I set WSUS server thru group policy for the XP/Win 7 clients, will it ever try to get the security patches from the Internet unless I manually select Start-> Programs->Windows Update ?

Re: WSUS settings on Client Machine

I don't think the 10 client limit comes into it since the OP seems to have a domain

      Can you confirm:
      WSUS is on a server?
      Clients are in same domain?
GPO specifies both intranet server location AND automatically install updates?

If so, they should pick up updates automatically and install them

Oops -- totally misread "10 chart" as 10 client -- thought you thought the OP was installing WSUS on XP
