  • How can I force WSUS to update a computer instead of waiting for schedule?

I would love to be able to select the computer needing the update and tell it to send the updates to it that are in queue. But how can I do this? We used a 3rd party for patch management but they sucked so I dropped them and just got WSUS, so am new to it, and we are all out of data with patches and updates. I'd like to start selecting one of the PCs needing updates and start pushing it to them manually like that.

    Any Ideas?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I don't think you can force an update push from a WSUS server. Its function is limited to approval only.
You can try to force a sync from the client side instead with wuauclt /detectnow

Here is an example you could use to somehow centrilise this: http://www.haverhoek.nl/index.php?/a...US-server.html
