  • Changing SMS Site Code

    Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to change the SMS Site Code of the clients from SMS console?

    Thank you!

    Re: Changing SMS Site Code

techinicly no, since the SMS console itself does not give you that option (only during client deployment.

what you can do, is to use 3rd party addons (this might help: http://www.myitforum.com/downloads/d...=3&se=SMS+2003) that extend the console capabilites to change client settings... but...
there is still no way to change the client site code manualy.

I do not recommed working with manual site settings either way, but with automatic site discovery by the defind site bounderies. if you work this way, you can change the site code for the site, re-configure the bounderies for the new site and then force re-discovery on the clients.
