  • gpresult -r under standard user login

    Hi,
I need to run gpresult -r when logged in under standard user and display both Computer and User settings.

Right click on cmd.exe--Run as administrator not helps. In order to see computer settings the prompt should be elevated.

when do runas user:domain\user_name "gpresult -r" separate window appears and closes. How to pause it.

    Are there other ways?

If you echo the output to a text file (Ijust append "> c:\FILE.TXT" to the existing cmd - don't put in the quotes), you can view it later

You could try "|more" at the end of the original command - works without the "runas"

Hold down the shift key and right click cmd and select run as a different user.

This however will not give you the required results as it runs under a different user context.

If it was a batch you could just add "pause". But since you're just running things interactively there's no reason to "pause" per se. You just need the window to not close.

Here's a one liner that should work for you:
            Code:
            runas /user:domain\user_name "cmd /k gpresult -r"
