Re: delete Internet cache with GPO

Hmmm you could use a log off script to delete:

        c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\history

Re: delete Internet cache with GPO

Well i guess the script would go some thing like:

            Code:
            del "c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\history\"*.* /f /s /q
Save it as a .bat file and add it to your GP as a logoff script.

Re: delete Internet cache with GPO

              since you use roaming profiles

              http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;288325

internet cache and temp files are not roamed with roaming profiles. However, history does and that script tonyyeb gave you will do the trick.

however if you ues firefox thats a different story. You can write a script to delete that.

@roguecoolman: You missed the bit where he said he didn't want the addresses to save onto the local computer:

Re: delete Internet cache with GPO

                  Hello tonyyeb,

I've read your logonscript to delete the users history. I have tried this script and it works fine until one thing. Your script: del "c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\history\"*.* /f /s /q leaves the (empty) folders. Is there a option to delete safely the empty folders?
Can I use the same rule to safely empty the %username%\local settings\temp folder completely?

                  With best regards,

                  Victor

Re: delete Internet cache with GPO

There is a way but you would be better using a GPO to delete roaming profiles on log off to be certain of removal.
