  • IE - set proxy in GPO, still there after delete

    Hi all,

I have set the proxy setting in group policy for an OU and have verified that it works. Later on, I decide I don't want this setting applied, so I delete the GPO from the OU, but the proxy IP settings are still applied (even after a few days and reboots etc).

Is there a way to undo this setting?

    Thanks.
    Rob

I think you need to setup a new GPO with the settings you desire.

When you delete old GPO's the settings are retained. Deleting them does not reverse the changes that were made.

Ok. So how do you set it back to before? Use a GPO with no changes?

Setting something back to a 'null' value such as this, may not, admittedly, be achievable. Check out this post instead:
