Don't think you can do that. If you are using static profiles (not roaming) then you could copy it in the login script, or using a startup script to copy it to the All Users > Desktop, or you could use Group Policy to give your users a shared desktop located on the network. Each usee the GP is applied to will get the same icons aswell as those in All Users > Desktop on the indivdual machines.

      Dear Sirknight,

tonyyeb is right. You can use a log on script to create a shortcut on a user desktop. Here's an example for your reference.

However, there's a way to put a shortcut on every user desktop via GPO. Please google "Group Policy LoopBack". You want to use it in the merge mode. Short explaination of how GPO with Loopback works:

-The computer starts up and applies all of settings under Computer node.
-The user logs on and get all of the settings under User node.
-Then, if there's GPO with loopback setting (for example GPO10), the computer will then put up a flag that says "I am a user", then all of the settings under User node of GPO10 will be run (in this case, it is your log on script to create the shortcut).

A note on GPO10. It will be applied to

      a. ComputerOU where you want users on specific computers to get the shortcut.
      b. Sets loopback merge mode in Computer node.
      c. Assign log on script in User node.

Please let us know how it goes.

      Regards,
      Teamwork
