  • Change a local admin password with GPO

    Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to change a local administrator's password on my workstations. I found a guide on the net showing how to do it, but it does not tell what to do, when the local admin password is different than "Administrator". In my case this is "LocalAdmin".

I have tried to use "BuiltIn\LocalAdmin" as the username, but it did not work.

Is there any other way to change it? I know it could be possible by removing everyone from the Administrators group and adding them again, this time without the "LocalAdmin" account, but I'd rather not do it unless absolutely necessary.

    Kind regards,

    Wojciech
