  • IE 8 and 9 GPO Settings

I am wanting to create a GPO that will create 2 tabs in Internet Explorer. One tab the user will be able to set to their preference and the second will be the enforced default page that they cannot change.
I have found the settings in my server, which is SBS 2008 Std., but I do not see the correct Preferences for IE that I have read about. I have tested using the settings that are there on my Windows 7 with IE 9, but the GPO does not work.

Anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong? Is there a way to import updated IE Preferences in Server 2008 Std?

    Thanks for your input.

I think you have to install IE9 on the server in order to get the IE9 related GPO settings for the GPMC.

Or install GPMC on a client!

Thanks for the ideas. I'll give those a try.

You dont need to install IE9 on the server - you can download the ADM and add it into GP Management.
