  • unable to make a default printer for all users who login

We have almost 500 users and theres a network printer which people have to add eachone of them if they want to print and thats a procedure and takes time to show everyone all the steps. I wanted to know because we are using a domain which all pics are connected on that domain also the printer how is it possible to make it that the printer is shown on all automaticly?
Can anyone explain me step by step if anyone has experience on how to do this
could you explain me how to do that?
The printer is located on \\server1\Administration Printer II
thats the original location and the printer name

If you are using Windows Vista or above to Manage AD or if you have 2008 AD then you could use GPP.
If you are using 2003 r2 and above as a print server you could deploy via Printer Management.

Otherwise the other option is to use traditional method and create a logon script.

Is this possible to be made locally on a pc? So when everyone logs in the pc automatically connects that printer as a default pritner?

If the printer is local to a particular PC, it should be visible to anyone logging onto that PC. If the printer is on a network share from some other place in your network, then the previous answer about Printer Management and GPP should sort it out.

Network printers are mapped to users, not computers.
