  • block only one gpo from the parent

    5 sub OUs.
3 GPOs linked to Parent OU
I need to block just one of 3 GPOs to one OU.

    Is it doable?

    Thx.

You'll have to block inheritance and link the two GPOs you want applying..

Just a thought... Why not manage your application of GPOs via Security Groups. You can narow down to a single user or machine if need be. I use block inheritance as a last resort to minimize troubleshooting headaches.

"Everyone says" (note reference needs checking) that security group filtering slows down GPO application considerably.

Haven't had a bad experience yet....I thought that WMI filters are more to "blame" for slowing things down.
