  • GPO 2008 - Start Menu and Desktop Icons Missing

So, I just installed a New 2008 R2 server that I plan to use for AD, GPO, and DNS. I upgraded my domain to 2008 GPO and everything went well. I then created a new GPO just to try a few of the features and assigned it to my username. I ran gpupdate /force and rebooted. Now my start menu and desktop are missing and I cannot access command prompt. I am running windows 7 so any applications I have pined to the task bar are working just fine. Chrome - RDP - IE - Folder.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And what did you set in the GPO?
Can you access the server and look at it in GPMC?
