  • Best way to tie-down the Start Menu, Task Bar etc.

From a GPO design point of view:
Can anyone advise the best way to tie down the Users XP Start Menu and Task Bar. I want to be able to hide all the Common Apps and Accessories Folder and be able to add Icons for company databases etc.

(I am completely fine with GPO's from a techical point of view just never seen how large corporations desktop's look in real world)
    Thanks

yeah you can lock this all down with GPO

Take a look in User Config > administrative templates > Start Menu and Taskbar

From there you can pretty much control what you like.

Adding icons etc, I have generally done from a login script.
