  • SRP/GPO and Updates

    Hello all,

I am testing a SRP/GPO (Software Restriction Policy/Group Policy Object) and have gotten the programs I want allowed to run. The problems is, when I log on as a regular domain user, the WSUS doesn't run as well as updates from Adobe. I'm assuming other updates from other vendors will not run as well. And when I log on as Administrator it's vice-versa.

Question is, how do I get the WSUS updates and others for that matter to run for the regular users?

    Thank you for your time.

Ideally WSUS should work in this env as long as you have it configured correctly.

Can you see your clients in WSUS console?

    if yes

Then check Automatic update service is started, GPO is applied, point to WSUS, recycle Automatic Update Service.

then from client run WUAUCLT /detectnow to perform forced detection of WSUS server
    Thanks & Regards
