  • GPO error

    Hello,

I created two GPOs in Windows 2008 R2 (all updates applied)

When I click in "Policies" , a error message pops up (I attach image)

I tried opening the two policies and even the "Default domain" policy every time resulting in that message popping up, always when expanding "Policies" , whether the User node or the Computer node of the GPO.

A quick search turns up several instances where this has happened. Have you tried any fixes found during your searches yet? Those I found from a year ago stated updating I.E. solved it, but you say your machine is fully up to date.

OK, then. Have you tried to replace the admx policy file? You can get them from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=6243

Copy the existing inetres.admx file from the ..\windows\policydefinitions folder to a safe place. You may also need to take ownership of the admx file before you can replace it.

                Hello,

I had a clone of the machine and could bring it up to life.

I installed those admx , but didn't work. Same error.

The thing is that this is happening in both Domain Controllers, both of them updated W28k R2

                Thanks a lot !

What ADMX files are you importing?? The error is reporting to be from inetres.admx which is the IE
