  • GPO changes and deleting

Having created a GPO and applied it to a container I noticed that the mapped drive setup in the policy was being applied to all users. Because I'd been working with this over the past few weeks I deleted the GP, forgetting you should delete the policy config first....anyway I've re-created another GPO and set the mapped drive to delete but it's still showing when I login.

    Any ideas?

Would you care to say how, so anyone else having the problem can benefit too

I presume the solution was realising that GPOs can only be applied to Domains, OUs and Sites, not containers, which are purely a tool for hiding large number of objects at the domain level?

I just hadn't given it time to replicate.

Sorry, my bad wording and I should have used the correct wording, OU.

Yup, subtle but significant difference between OUs and Containers (sorry to be fussy, but in IT these words matter )
