  • Computer certificate autoenrollment

    Hello,

    I have done this before.

A CA issuing certificates automatically through a GPO, to all the computers in the domain. I don't recall it as a difficult task, but this time around something is happening and the computers are not getting the certificates (firewalls off).

I went then to a technet article:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/...(v=ws.10).aspx

    Where I read this :

" In the Permissions for Authenticated Users list, select Read, Enroll, and Autoenroll in the Allow column, and then click OK and Close to finish."
    (when configuring the certificate template)

    My question:

Shouldn't it read: "In the Permissions for Domain Computers list, select Read, Enroll, and Autoenroll in the Allow column, and then click OK and Close to finish." ?

I mean, I am trying to issue certificates for the computers in the domain, and the article does not mention anything in that regard.

    Thanks in advance!

Authenticated Users is correct. Computers have accounts in AD and authenticate to AD.
