  • Windows 7 Local GP

I heard that in Windows 7 you can create local GP for users of a PC that would not effect the local Admin account? Can anyone verify this? Is it possible to make user based GP's on Windows 7?

Are you sure this is for local policies and not domain policies affecting Windows 7 member workstations?

I will experiment, however I would be surprised if it's possible on a standalone machine.

Yes you can, or at least you can create multiple levels of local policy, one for admins and another for normal users:

Yes as Ossian mentioned MLGPOs were introduced back in Vista.
