  • Dhcp Group Policy In 03 Server

    Hi

    New to this forum

I am looking for a group policy which will only assign a dhcp lease if you are part of the windows domain... I want to avoid users or anyone else for that matter coming in with a laptop, on or off hours and plugging into the network and getting onto the internet...

Can't be done from a GPO. The IP stack starts before GPO processing runs, that's why.

The usual solution for this is to use MAC filtering on the switches.

If _that_ is the main issue: an authenticating proxy (ISA) will help you.

You can assing certain users "logon hours". just go to Active directy users and computers, and go into the properties of what users you don't want on. And set their logon hours to not allow them to logon at what ever times you wish.

How will that help to block non domain members, as the question stated?
