  • Bit of a newbie, need help setting up disk quotas

    Hi everyone.

I'm a bit of a newbie to AD and GPO and for my current assignment I am working on I need to set up disk quotas for users, for thier home folder (stored on the DC with folder redirection setup) I know I can do this through the main Default Domain Policy, but I need to setup different quota amounts for different Organizational Units.

Can someone please advise the best steps to take.

    I'm running Windows Server 2003 with SP2

    Thanks!

If you had Server 2003 R2 then you may have had a chance to get some of what you wanted done. With Server 2003, well read the first article that results from the above link.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

Don't forget that with R2 you can set filtering to stop users saving inappropriate file extensions (MP3, BMP, AVI etc) to their folders and then have an email sent to an account advising that User x was trying to save the banned file extensions to their folders.

Love that setting. User denies they were saving the prohibited files and they you whip out the email that proved them wrong.
