  • GPO and Office 2007

    Hi All,

We have a customer (a School) who use quite a few GPO's accross the network but they are having an issue with locking down network browsing via Office 2007 products.

When a user is say opening or saving a file they can browse the entire network from the open/save as box within Office. They would like to be able to stop this but I seem to have hit a brick wall trying to find a way of doing so.

Can anybody give me some tips/pointers that might resolve this ?

In W2K3 you can take a look at the settings under User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Windows Explorer>common Open File Dialog in your GPO to see if those settings accomplish your goal.

In W2K8 you can take a look at the settings under User Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Windows Explorer>Common Open file Dialog
