  • Copy a file to %windir% with gpo

    Hello everybody..

This is my first post in this site and i have a little problem....
    ------------------------------
    I have a win2k3 domain controller in a local network with 200 users. (winXp, win2000, nt4)

I made a .cmd file trying to copy an .ini file into users folder %windir% at logon using Group Policy - User Configuration - logon scripts.
    Here is the .cmd command...
    (xcopy \\192.90.249.13\test\files_for_copi\test.ini %winDir% /y /s)

The problem is that the file can not be copied because the user has no access to %windir% (Message: 0 files copied - access denied)

    ------------------------------
Can somebody suggest to me a solution?

(I'm sorry about my poor English)

    Hi,

You could use a batch file and assign it as a computer startup script instead.
