  • Applying Wallpaper on Workgroup PC

Does anyone know how I can set the active wallpaper on everyone’s account who logs onto a non domain laptop?

I’ve looked at the machine GPO and the active wallpaper comes under User Config & not Computer Config.

Is there a way of applying the GPO to the machine & not the user?

Look into "Loopback Processing" of GPOs

I don't think you can do it via Gpedit because "loopback processing" only functions in an AD environment.
Here is the Registry key you need to look at:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
and look and modify the string value called ConvertedWallpaper.

Nince one, this resolved the issue

        Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Ggroup Policy
        > User Group Policy loopback processing mode
        > Merge

        Many Thanks
