  • Windows 2003 GPO question

    Hi ppl,

I just implemented screen saver to be enabled with password protection using GPO. The policy is successfully implemented. Some users came to me and they wants to disable the policy when they are not in the office, eg. at home or at customer office which they are not connected our domain.

Is there any way which the policy can be disabled when they are not in the domain?
I tried using local policy but it does not work.
    Any advice?

    Re: Windows 2003 GPO question

so your policy makes a screen saver come on after say 15 minutes, and then require a password to unlock it ?

Why is this such a big deal for them ? And i assume you are talking about a laptop ?

AFAIK, they should carry out the same procedure at home and in the office.
