  • How can I add a disclaimer on outlook via gpo ?

    Hi All,

    Anybody help me ?

How can I set a default disclaimer for all user via GPO ?

I already downloaded the Office Resource Kit. Locate the ADM files in the Resource Kit folder and copy them into %windir%\inf. The template that will be of the most interest to you is Outlk11.adm.

    Thanks !

    More details please:
    What server OS?
    What version of Exchange?
    What version of Outlook?

IMHO, email disclaimers (unless you are on Exchange 2007) are best handled by 3rd party tools like Policy Patrol or Exclaimer

Your best bet as Ossian said would be to use a third party tool to do this.
However, you can do it on the cheap (Free actually) with a VBS script to create an event sink in your exchange server as per this: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=317680
Assuming you are using the right exchange server.

If you are running Exchange 2007, this can actually be done at the Exchange Server level by making a transport rule.

          Hi Guys !!

          I forgot to say something...

Exchange Servers are hosted in other country, so I donīt have administrative access

Then I cannot use VBS script or edit nothing in the servers

          My only way is GPO...

Can you negotiate with the terrorists (oops, I mean Exchange Administrators)?

            If not, look at

              hahaha... no chance !

because the disclaimer will be use only for Brazil, and the language is Portuguese. I believe that rule is for all accounts, right ? So, for USA, Italian, France, etc must be with local language

Tell the terrorists to have a look at the 3rd party options -- much easier to manage such a setup
