Do you mean open the port on the windows firewall?

    otherwise

You don't open ports on client machines they exist when an application is listening on them.
    cheers

        Which AV?
Usually the AV is pushed to the client machines and this is automatically setup for you.
        cheers

          I agree with Andy.

The only time I ever had an issue with managing AV clients was the port on the central management server of the antivirus where the issue was with that firewall and not the clients, namely e-policy orchestrator and Mcafee Enterprise VirusScan.

It is symantec antivrus coporate 10.x. It can delopy from console but it cannot get the client log, schedule scan if client does not open the port 2967.

Symantec say that they does not open this port by default!!??

Do you have any suggestion or advice!!??

So the port will always remain static? I generally allow the program through the firewall, so the firewall dynamically allows certain ports. If that port is guaranteed to stay, then just allowing that port is enough.
You also need to check if it is UDP or TCP or both.
