  • Background None - Group Policy

    HI,

I have enabled active desktop with custom background and that works just fine with all user's on specified OU.

For better performance i would like to set all desktop backgrounds to None for all users.

Is it possible to do that on domain?

Yes you can I think you just set the wallpaper filename path to an empty string (blank path).

However, if you wish to preserve bandwith/network traffic, you can alternatively specify a wallpaper file that resides on the local PCs.

You can also specify a "Tile" parttern of wallpaper and have a 1x1 pixel file, which will look like a plain colour. (Just another bit of info even though it's pretty useless!)
    Best wishes,
    PaulH.
