  • GPO denied - Computer not receveing group membership

    Hi all,

    I have browsed the site and internet and still could not find an answer for my problem.

    Computer: Compaq 2510p laptop

    I have created a ghost image for this laptop and syspre'd it. No problems.

    Load the image to the laptop and join the domain. Then for some reason the machine does not pick up GPO settings for its groups, in fact, it does not even get group membership (see file attached). GPOs are denied. However browsing AD, the computer is a member of the groups it is supposed to be.

    1) DNS is fine, doing nslookup, etc. Logging in fresh user and computer talks to AD to authenticate it;
    2) I have also tried to remove machine from domain, run newsid and re-join. No joy;
    3) I have done the created an image for a desktop PC and it works absolutelly fine when joining domain;

    Has anyone ever come across this problem?

    Any help is very much appreciated.

    Have you ran a GPRESULT on the laptop?
    Could you provide a printout of that?
