  • Issues Redirecting The My Documents Folder via Group Policy

    All,

I am attempting to redirect the My Documents Folder back to the default location via group policy for all users (i.e. c:\documents and settings\%username%) as many users have been manually set to redirect to a c:\data folder

    Under User Config-Windows Settings-Folder Redirection-My Documents-setting Basic

I have set the Target folder location to 'redirect to the local userprofile location'. This does not work unless I manually create the My Documents subfolder underneath the heading which is not generally there as it becomes deleted when the My Documents Folder is manually redirected in the first place.

Is there a better way of achieving this?

    James

I have used the setting 'Create a folder for each user the root path'

    Thanks

Make sure that the users have permissions to create folder at this location..
