  • Scrubbing Local Security Policy

I was playing around with sceregvl.inf on my computer when I added a few strings to the local GP, updated local policy and then removed those strings from the inf file. But, the policy entries are still listed in the local policy. If I re-add the lines, there are duplicates in the policy UI.

GPUpdate didn't work since it only replaces values, not strings as the strings are not yet on the OU GPO.

I attempted to reset the policy according to the following sites, but the lines are still there. The reason I need these removed is because I'll be using this computer to modify AD GPOs and I don't want lines that are invalid.

How do I scrub the local GP of these lines? Thanks for any suggestions.
