  • Desktop Lockdown via GPO

I have a request to lock down a couple of items on a set of users' desktops.

I need to remove the "Map Network Drive" option from the Windows Explorer and My Computer menus.

Can I do this with a GPO? The PC's are all currently XP Pro SP2.

    Thanks.

    Re: Desktop Lockdown via GPO

In the GP Editor try the following setting:

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer > Remove "Map Network Drive" and "Disconnect Network Drive"

    Best regards-

Thank you. I have the darned time finding settings I want sometimes. I've never found a good index for all the settings.
