  • User dont have access to C Drive

    Hi

Since implementing a Group Policy, my users are not able to access their C Drives. This is having an affect on Windows Update and also some local apps. Whats the easiest way to give users access to their C Drive and allow them to pick up updates from Microsoft, is it something within the GP?

This might sound a little bit like me being a smart alec but....remove/adjust the GPO?
    Perhaps I'm being too literal?

Btw I thought standard users in XP don't have rights to their c drive? Are you using XP?
I don't know anything about (you or your) computers.

Where in the GPO would I adjust? When I remove the GPO, users can read/write to C drive. Yes, XP Professional.

Looks like one of the settings you set in the GPO is to blame.
Are you using GPMC to work with GPOs? If so, click on the GPO's name, go to the Settings tab and look at the things you've set.
Another thing you can do is to post here a screenshot of it and we'll try to help.
