  • USB removable disks GPO - use it in users objects

    i want to use the USB removable disks gpo in users objects in active directory

    what can i dO?

    is this posible?

    Why don't you just test it ? After all is just a good practise!

      I test it and dont work

      only work when a i pute in the OU a computer object

        Sorry but...what do you mean with
        " when a i pute in the OU a computer object" ??
        How did you test it before?
        Don't forget that the computer objects that are in the computer container don't get GPOs applied to them..
        There is just one thing bigger than the Universe: - guess???-

          ok i mean

          in my Forest i make a organization unit and i config the group policy in the OU i move to the OU a computer and when a loging to that computer i cant use the usb that is perfect ..

          but if a move a user to the same ou and i logging whit that user in another computer the gpo dont do anythink and the user can still use the usb drive ..

            Sorry it took so long.
            Let's get a couple of things clear:
            computers in the same OU get the same GPO, providing that the GPO is not blocked for computers!
            Users from different OUs logging on to the same computer get the GPOs of the OU they belong to (user wise) and the GPO of the computer they log in.
            Some time I had the reverse problem:
            I had the USB blocked on a machine through GPO and, in order to re-inable it, I had to go in the registry and do it manually: no use of take it from the OU and reboot.
