  • GPO to run a program on client computers once a week.

Is there a smart way to make the client computers run a program once a week (every Monday)? I'd prefer if there was a way to do this through a GPO, without the help of .vbs and such. I'm running a mixed environment of 2000 and XP.

Any advice I give is to the best of my knowledge, there is no guarantee what so ever that it will actually work in your particular scenario. I will not accept any responsibility for unexpected consequences, after all - you are taking advice from a complete stranger over the internet. =)

if you look for something free you can use pstools from sysinternals...

and here in the forum was a talk about it.

you can use one of your server with pstools and use psexec etc to make the remote program start... combine it with windows schedular...
