  • Setup DNS

    Dear friends,

I have two domain controllers running windows 2003 SP1.
I have created two OU's mobileusers and desktopusers, so i have created a GPO to setup DNS for desktopusers only but the DNS is not being set.

    what can be the problem?

    Thanks,

    Samer

      Re: Setup DNS

I want to setup the DNS setting for the group desktop users only which contains the users using the desktop PCs but the problem is that the default domain policy is always winning and being applied.

I have just tried to move the computer to the desktopusers OU and it is working fine now.

      please advise.

        Re: Setup DNS

The DNS settings are for the computer and therefore cannot be applied to an OU filled with users. Put the appropriate computers into an OU and link the GPO to it.
