  • SBS 2003 - DNS problem

    Hi there,

We are experiencing a problem with access to our website which has the same name as our DC. I can ping the ip address of the web site, but can not browse it. Web site can be accessed only from the outside.

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

      nslookup results:

      Server: mail.mikroaldi.org
      Address: 10.0.0.10

      Name: www.mikroaldi.org
      Address: 176.9.24.230

When I changed dns server from 10.0.0.10 to isp dns server on one of my workstation i could access my web site without problem.

setup an A record in DNS that points a www record to the relevant IP address.

An IP address is already set in dns (forwardzone) for www record and it points to this 176.x.x.x ip address.

              Hi all,

Well... my "lovely" hosting company moved our website to another server, but they told me that my problem is ISP related.

I changed my ip address with the new one in www record and everthing worked like a charm.

              Thanks guys for your help.
