  • Reverse Lookup Zones Question

    Hello
Windows server 2003 with dns. I think our dns has gone a bit screwy, in the forward lookup zone domainname.local lists out all the host(a) records e.i
    192.168.1.10 name of PC
    192.168.3.30 name of PC

In the reverse lookup zones for 192.168.3.* they is only one record
    192.168.3.131,

    The status is running
    Type in active-directory-intergated
Replication in the active directory domain
    Dynamic Update - Secure only

    Looking into this further.

I ran DCdiag /test:dns i got the follwing results

    Domain Auth Pass
    Basc Pass
    Forw Fail
    Del Pass
    Dyn Pass
    RReg Pass

    The test forward /rotts hints
error root hints list has an invalid root hint server a.root-server
    this continutes tro letter M-root
