How to remove duplicate DNS entries?

  • #2
    Re: Duplicate DNS entries

Normally, just right click the entry in DNS manager and delete it
But you also need to investigate why you are getting duplicate entries

      1 1 was a racehorse.
      2 2 was 1 2.
      1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
      2 2 1 1 2

            Re: Duplicate DNS entries

Scavenging does not completely remove Stale records and still A records are associated with same IP address
            eg.
            COm1 IP 10.10.1.2
            Com2 IP 10.10.1.2
            .

            .
            .

            Com100 IP 10.10.1.2

How to remove records associated with same IP address ?

Have you tried manually deleting them?

              2 2 was 1 2.

Which is correct? Remove all others manually. Do any of the addresses match DHCP? Go to one or more stations and try in a CMD prompt:

                ipconfig /renew /registerdns

Then re-check both your DHCP and DNS.
