  • Create DNS entry (Point IP address to HOSTNAME)

    Hi all,

Really simple one here, I need to create a new DNS entry on my Server 2003 Domain that points a HOSTNAME to an IP Address. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have added this in the local host table on a client machine which works fine but I want this to have an effect on all domain users...

    Thanks

    Is it internal or external??

Internal - Go into the DNS console and add an 'A' record for the required host.

External is a bot more difficult lol.

External but it's a site to site VPN connection so internal really lol. I sorted it by adding a new A record, just couldn't remember where to add it. Thanks though
